Our Story

Before TriBeCa was one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Manhattan, it was a place artists lived, worked and communed. In the mid nineties, Matt was a photo assistant for one of the top fashion photographers of the time. Shooting in Italy, France, Spain and South Africa, his appreciation began for some of the best wines in the world.

Traveling for work years later, Matt met Alana in LA, who was running a PR firm that often brought her to NYC. They fell in love drinking Grüner on the cobblestone streets of TriBeCa and dreamed about creating their own wine brand.

On a shoot in Paso Robles, Matt and Alana discovered their love for the Central Coast and decided Paso was the place to make their wine. After several years working harvest, learning all they could about winemaking and splitting their time between Paso, LA and New York, they decided to settle in Austin, where they could raise their son between both coasts.

Since then, Tribeca Wine Collective has evolved from an idea into a collection of modern, small-batch wine - each bottle a spin on the wines we love to drink, in the places we love to drink them. Made from our memories to inspire yours.

The Cork

Affectionately tagged “The King of Tribeca” by locals, our Shepherd-mix Cassius was the proud mascot of our family until he passed away in 2021. We aptly honored him with his image emblazoned on our cork. He was often interrupted by neighbors for a friendly hello on the way to his favorite TriBeCa spot, Chambers Street Wine, where he knew he’d get a biscuit while dad grabbed a few bottles. Cork Design by Paul Raffelo
